This is the hiking trail leading up to Lake 22, a wonderful walk through a natural research area that was set aside back in 1947. That means, then that the only human footprint seen here is the maintenance of the trail and that of the hikers. Hiking through the old-growth forest is a delight to the senses: Ferns, carpets of mosses, cedars, waterfalls, everything combines to offer the nature lover a feast and an appreciation of the primeval.
