About Rebecca Sherman
Raised in Southern Maryland, Rebecca has an innate love of the rural environment, and her macro and landscape photography brings that emotion to life. Living within a stone's throw of the Chesapeake Bay has allowed Rebecca to add intimate views of Calvert County's natural resources to her portfolio, along with her vision of the impermanence of life, the beautiful rust which transforms nature and object alike. Thanks for the link! I read the entire poem, and it is wonderful.

Wow, what a find. Great photo! Seems like a dark epitaph... perhaps he/she suffered.
Rebecca Sherman replied:
I researched the quote, and found that it is from a long poem/hymn by William Augustus Muhlenberg: http://www.bartleby.com/248/109.html
Rebecca Sherman replied:
Anyway, I think the excerpt as an epitaph seems dark, but the poem in its entirety is quite beatific.
