Artist's Description

My husband and I took a day trip to Pawnee Buttes out in the eastern plains of Colorado, about an hour from Denver. The sky was wild with fluffy clouds and great shadows which change the landscape constantly. The pasture was riddled with curious cattle and this windmill is located right in the center of the Buttes attraction. I had fun with the cows who were hanging around this windmill.

I began my art career in the early 1990's while living with my husband Gary and our three children in Dade City Florida.I painted oils for approximately five years with my Mentor Carolyn Sellers who is a professional fine artist in oil and murals located in Land O Lakes Florida. My interests were wildlife,portraits, and tropical landscape of inland and beaches. I moved with my husband from Florida to Silver City New Mexico in 2001 and contracted with Gifted Hands Gallery expanding my painting technique to watercolor by attending workshops around New Mexico.
