This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?

Artist's Description
Windsurfer in Maui caught mid- air enjoying the wind and the surf. Challenge the wave and you had better be skilled eough. Those caught by the wave will be punished. Hawaii and its surfing culture are both world famous. Waves at the Pipeline and Jaws are legends. People from all over the world come here to enjoy the water and the sun and the sand. Acess to the beaches and the waves is excellent. People are friendly and generally welcome photographers and other artists who wish to portray them on the waves and on the beach. When windsurfing first really caught on in the '80s on Maui I would drive out to Ho'okipa on weekends and just sit on the bluff and watch in awe (and listen to the traditional surfers complain at the intruders on these new-fangled type of boards that were encroaching on their waves...) It still fascinates me how anyone can be so skilled as to pull off some of these maneuvers. I was always a spectator... I was never coordinated enough or athletic enough to even attempt this! LOL Sure do love watching it, however. Another marvelous capture, Bob. So glad you are back in the islands and actively photographing this exciting and thrilling sport. Featured in Hawaiiana. Aloha nui!!
Bob Christopher replied:
Aloha Jane...Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. I enjoyed reading about your experiences with the Hawaiian surfing scene. I also am a “watcher” that enjoys the beauty of it all. I live vicariously through the daring of others through my lens. Sadly, I am not in Hawaii presently but certainly look forward to my next trip. Presently I am enjoying Vancouver Island,Canada...A lively surf scene at Tofino on the west side...Have a great weekend...Cheers Bob
