Perfect. My dining room is styled in Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau, and this is a magnificent example of the transition period. Excellent print and high quality matting and framing.

About Sherri Crabtree
My background goes back to several years as a fashion illustrator, designing ads for various department stores and ad agencies in the Chicago and Dallas areas. In the early nineties I was able to devote myself to painting full time. I fell in love with the spontaneous and free-flowing medium of watercolor, and have been painting everything from people, things and places I've traveled and lived in ever since. My body of work represents all of these influences, and I hope you will enjoy exploring the images I've selected for prints and greeting cards. You may also send a personal message for information about original watercolors that are still available for sale to this address: www.sherricrabtree28@yahoo.com. I am a signature...

...reminds me of the covered bridge in Arlington, Vt. Almost bought a home in Eagle Bridge, NY (close by) -- home of Grandma Moses. I made friends with Norman Rockwell's people in Arlington (at the museum) some of whom were his models (what a treat). Bought a cabin in the Adirondacks -- now live in North Carolina, but miss New England. L/F
Sherri Crabtree replied:
I miss New England, as you do, especially since I now live in Palm Springs, CA. I've lived a lot of places in the U.S., and Vermont will always be my favorite. I've loved visiting Arlington, and the Rockwell museum also.
Sherri Crabtree replied:
P.S. This was a bridge in Grafton, which go washed away in the flood.

That's so nice to hear, Silvio, as I was so glad I had painted that particular bridge, after actually seeing it being washed down the river on the internet after the flood. Thanks so much for your comment and your vote.

I hate that so many of the bridges got washed away. I wonder if they will rebuild it. I am from Vermont and they are a part of the beauty of the state. I love this painting Sherri. The winter scene and the birds!!! f/v
Sherri Crabtree replied:
So nice to hear this from a native Vermonter, Deborah. I hated to see these bridges, and other historic places destroyed or damaged too, after having lived there for a few years (in the village of Bridgewater near Woodstock). The house we lived in was almost washed away in the flood, as it stands on the banks of the Ottauqueechee River. Such a beautiful state, and I miss it, as well as the people, a lot. I'm so glad you like the painting.
