The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

That obsession has never left me after almost 20 years...I can't drive by one, without stopping and going around or in to poke around and depressing that shutter button the whole time! Back in the day this house was a magnificent mansion.....a beehive of activity drawing neighbors from miles around to fill their buggies with family.
