Beautiful print! The only thing I don’t love is the imprint from the wood at the back of the canvas. Maybe different packaging would help?
About Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND
REACH BEYOND, my logo and general theme and goal, usually is the first painting on the left of the top row, or near there. Go ahead and click on it now to open it up for a much better look. And if you're interested, then just go on to more of the paintings. You can always come back and read what I wrote about me. But I seriously hope that these paintings present various facets of my perceptions of our world -- or wishes FOR it -- more vividly -- or at least differently -- than writing can. They mutely show what objects and situations I think merit attention and from what points of view I choose to present them and in what medium and style. I hope that perhaps some, or even a part of one, will touch and vibrate with some part of you,...

NICE WORK
Robbie Combs
Wonderful colors, Bruce. Normally I love colorful things but this painting opened my mind to how beautiful paintings can be without much color and especially this one. This is a masterpiece, Bruce. Really good job.

Your comments to Heather are so interesting Bruce, I love the painting, and that's right, there is still a wall for women in the world, specially for some religions that sadly, will never change.

(Continued) The 2 paintings I meant are currently on page 7 (I move paintings around a lot, sort of playing in my mind about relationships, etc. I LOVE them. They are my mind and heart and soul embodied outside of my skin, important to me first, but available for whoever cares to look, to examine, etc.). Well, Heather, I didn't mean to get so carried away here, rambling on in public about myself. Fact is, though, I AM aware that I could erase it with a click if I wished to. (I certainly have many a time when I did NOT wish to!) Peace, etc., Bruce

Thanks for the comment, Heather. I had no particular place in mind with that painting, a favorite of mine, though I it has never got much attention nor stirred up interest. I worked on it a lot more than with some paintings over a number of months, trying the different people here and there and doing an awful lot of experimenting with colors on the wall itself. I like the result very much. Back to my first sentence, I felt that I was doing something of a parable for women's place in the world, some places better than others, perhaps, but still it's like a wall blocking them. Other images could be perhaps a closer analogy, but this is the painting I wanted to do. I want to talk to you some time about paintings I used to do with sort of figures I called geomorphs -- not a very catchy name, but in my mind they were basically spirits long before beginnings of any religion we know much about, and they still are around -- I guess I'm now telling you some of what I wanted to some day. They are meant to encompass and embody all that is good, strong, beautiful, etc. Somehow they are related to humans, animals, everything about our earth, maybe the universe. But we have lost much of the ability to consciously see or be "in touch" with them. Some animals can and do. We have seen evidence of that even in our domesticated cats and dogs. I haven't thought about them for awhile. I was doing them about 2002. I have two paintings that I remember in this gallery (a lady who is a spiritual friend of ours, though she doesn't want to admit it or talk about it (it equaling spirituality, here; not friendship!). Visiting several years ago she saw these two paintings and seemed to commune with them. We left her alone, After a while she came into the room where we were carrying the paintings and said, I'm taking these home with me. If you need them or have buyers, let me know and we'll work something out. What could I say but "Sure." I'll have to review and look for some more of those geomorph paintings. Some people think they are Arabic because of the garments, and that's unfortunate, especially because it seems to go with Xenophobia and anti-Muslim attitudes. I meant the garments -- that is, my vision of them was of something very ancient, still comfortable, practical, etc. (Whoops! Space Cops! Rambled more than I thought. (Continued)

Hi Bruce, this is beautiful. I love the colors and your highest spiritual color (purple is here) I would like to know more about this piece. is this the Kotel in Jerusalem? It has a religious energy about it. You made me tear with your comment on Waterfall for Libby. You noticed and it was so nice to hear your encouragement. Libby was my mom.
