Wooden penstock. Leaking wooden penstock, leading to the Pierre's Brook hydroelectric plant. The word penstock comes from the technology of wooden water mills. In this case it is an enclosed pipe that delivers water to the plant's hydroelectric turbines. Photographed near Witless Bay, Newfoundland, Canada.
