Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

A nerve wracking sight to see flames and smoke in Yellowstone after 38% of the park burned in 1988. This fire took nearly one month to extinguish as it moved across the high country in the park.
Sandra Bronstein finds great pleasure in sharing the beauty of the natural world and its magnificent wildlife as seen through her lenses for over 40 years. Having been intrigued by many different elements, in both the manmade and natural world, she strives to discover new and different ways to capture these elements. Her vision provides a window into the ever changing world and, simply put, Sandra has captured and shares with us a simple moment in time. Sandra was raised and continues to reside in large metropolitan cities but has always had a love of nature and wilderness. It was due, in part, to family travels and being an "outdoor" girl which kept her love strong for wildlife and the environment. That love and respect shows in each...

Thanks Shawn - it was terrible to see the loss of wildlife and forestation.

What an amazing capture, I remember in Texas the sky turned a hazy yellow from the fire in Yellowstone, I wasn't until I moved there in 2006 and visited this amazing places that I realized how devastating that must have been. What an amazing capture, and I'm sure that was a very sad time.... Shawn

Thanks Randy - thanks for your kind words - much appreciated.

While not wondrous to firefighters who have to extinguish this blaze in progress, you surely capture the beauty and essence of the fine elements of Yellowstone! Even the rising smoke spire, is quite a spectacle to behold as another dimension to an already majestic piece, Sandra! Thanks much for sharing this beauty with us!

A great photo, with great colors and drama. Sometimes the smoke from here or even California settles in on our little communities in the southeastern part of the state. v/f
