My introduction to photography began in the mid-50’s as a teenager employed to assist Joe Mason, a disabled Korean War Veteran, being trained by the Veterans Administration in the Art of Photography. I was hired primarily to assist Mr. Mason in the darkroom and to maintain an orderly appearance in his studio.
