Emily is a Graphic Designer by trade, but enjoys dabbling in several other creative projects on the side, especially that which allows her to create animal and nature focused works of art.
In the summer of 2017, Emily completed illustrations for the children's book, 'The Sapling', written by Jessie Klassen. It was her first time putting images and ideas from her head down on paper, and sending them out into the world. She felt terrified to be so vulnerable at first, but the response was unimaginable. Grateful and elated to express her talents and emotions with the world and receive such a loving response, Emily was hooked and hasn't looked back since.
When Emily paints she cranks the music and moves to the vibrations, singing and dancing. In these moments she feels truly joyful and alive. The energy she puts into her work can be felt when you are in the arts' presence. Take a gander, take it in and if you feel drawn to a particular piece, trust that it is meant to be yours and enhance your life. Enjoy!
