BFA in painting, MFA degree in costume design, University of Illinois. A working knowledge of color and design, plus developing art around a theme learned in the theater discipline, strengthened my abilities as a painter. Further studies include landscape painting courses with Joe Sweeney through the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, plus art related travels to Paris, Italy, and the American Southwest.
