Being semi - retired from a paint contracting business I now have more time for travel and photography. My body of work ranges from photographic digital art to the more traditional scenes of landscapes and the everyday scenes of life. My photography has its roots going back to my experiences with infrared film. It’s there that I saw how an image could be manipulated to something much more different than what was first seen. I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create something entirely new.
All images are derived from my photos. I work with them using digital tools in one or more steps, to create a special kind of art. The results are photographic art and I am pleased to present them for your enjoyment. These methods whatever they are called are what motivate and drive my desire to create.
