I am an amateur oil painter in the Mid-Hudson Valley. I taught myself to paint as a hobby many years ago to help deal with the stresses of a demanding occupation. I was inspired early on to paint bucolic scenes of the Hudson Valley. I often drive for hours without direction to photograph subjects to paint at home.
