I live in the heart of the Niagara region surrounded by vineyards and fruit orchards. Grimsby is between Lake Ontario and the beautiful Niagara escarpment. Niagara Falls is just nearby, and across the Lake I can easily see the Toronto skyline.
As a photographer I am drawn to shapes and patterns in the world of colour. I explore visual patterns in gardens, in landscapes, and in the macro world of flowers plants and nature. Portfolios such as Marvelling the Mushroom, Flowerography and Nature's Details feature images on this theme. My own town of Grimsby is featured with the Painted Ladies Series, and the surrounding area is featured in Niagara's Treasures.
The urban world and the world of manmade objects are where I find abstract images in the scratches, bumps, and bruises in the environment. Peeling paint, rust and decay blossom into new forms to create Portfolios such as Urban Extractions Series, Whimsy in Rust, Surfacing Attention.
