Having established renown in both the publishing and art scene, Monnar Baldemor has also separately forged a path thematically and stylistically divergent from his father, the famous Manuel Baldemor – originally from Paete, Laguna. While the elder Baldemor cavorted with pastel hues and rustic scenes, Monnar plumbed the depths of emotion and came up with stark images more akin to a meeting of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, and Ernst Degasperi.
