I have been an Artist as long as I can remember- art in so many forms filled the corners of my life.
I began getting serious with my painting in the late 80's & my medium of choice then was acrylic. In the 90's I began to dabble in oil paints and most of my art now is in that medium. Watercolors became my go to medium for 'fast' art, which for me means it is finished in 4-8 hours instead of oils where I can work weeks on a single piece of artwork.
Most photographs I take are either for my own pleasure or as reference for later painting. However at the rate I am going I will never manage to paint everything I have reference pictures for!
I also enjoy sewing, quilting, beading, jewelry making , sculpting in polymer clay, and woodworking.
Along the way I fell in love with the sciences, arts, and music. I have a degree in Biology and a teaching certificate for Florida in biology, English, reading and ESOL.
I love science, nature, history, fantasy, and science fiction.
In Livingston University I started playing Advanced Dungeons & Dragons which commanded my attention because it fed my lust for strange facts and fiction. I admit to being a STAR GATE fan, STAR WARS fan, STAR TREK fan, Harry Potter fan, and lover of most science fiction, steampunk, and fantasy. Ancient Egypt, Rome, and Greece fascinate me as well. I also LOVE BOOKS- nothing is better than a good book!
