ARTIST BIO

I have been a bonsai enthusiast for over twenty years. Upon retiring from the health care industry, I learned to create ceramic containers for my trees. Over the last six years, I developed an interest in sculptural ceramics and sculpture in wood, stone and metal. Anodized aluminum wire, used to train bonsai, became small wire sculptural models for welded steel sculpture. Ceramic sculptures have been exhibited in non-juried shows at the Hunterdon County Library (2008,2009,2011,2012) ,the Sidetracks Gallery in New Hope (2009,2010), and Greenshire Arts Consortium (2010). Solo exhibitions of my ceramic sculpture and functional pottery were held in 2013,2014and 2015 at the BuxMont Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Warrington ,Pa.

My carved wooden sculptures are abstract figurative pieces that have been exhibited at the 14th (2008)and 15th (2009) Artsbridge Annual Juried Shows as well as Works in Wood(2015).

My ceramic sculptures have been exhibited at the following :

Central Bucks, Byers 27th Annual Art Exhibit(2013) .

The Art of the State: Pennsylvania 2013 at The State Museum of Pennsylvania.
