For a number of years, I have enjoyed taking photographs of distant objects in the universe. I am fortunate enough to have an observatory at a relatively dark site in South Carolina, where I take images through one of two telescopes: one is a 12.5' diameter f/8 scope, and the other is a 106mm diameter f/5 scope. These images often involve multiple hours of exposure, through several different filters, all precisely guided as the stars move through the night sky.
