For a number of years, I have enjoyed taking photographs of distant objects in the universe. I am fortunate enough to have an observatory at a relatively dark site in South Carolina, where I take images through one of two telescopes: one is a 12.5' diameter f/8 scope, and the other is a 106mm diameter f/5 scope. These images often involve multiple hours of exposure, through several different filters, all precisely guided as the stars move through the night sky. Then follows several hours of assembling and processing the image through various software programs. I hope you enjoy these glimpses into the beautiful and vast cosmos around us.
