Since I grew up near Cape Cod, I enjoy painting nautical scenes in oils and acrylics. My favorite subjects are lighthouses and the gray shingled cottages found on the Cape and Nantucket Island. Many of my paintings, however, have a whimsical quality featuring quirky seagulls, ducks, pelicans and crabs. I like to vary my style between the whimsical and what I call my 'serious' paintings.
