Most of my life was spent in the middle-of-nowhere Idaho. I was lucky to live in a place that might be considered a window on what the American West looked like many years ago. My world consisted of mountain peaks, rushing streams, and sagebrush covered hills. The people living there are still involved in ranching and farming as well as the rodeos, horses, cows, outdoors, and a variety of other things that attached them to the past, the present and, most of all, a proud heritage.
