I am an artist from Montana. My work is informed by myth, folklore, and dreams- by global folk art and literature. I like the flat bright colors found in folk art, as well as the attention to detail. While living in China, Hungary and Vietnam, I had some opportunities to study the local traditional crafts, and I find them an interesting source for ideas. I recently joined an international group of Naive artists who work in a folk art tradition, and my gouache paintings are reminiscent of this style.more
