I am a wildlife photographer and writer located in Fairbanks, Alaska. I grew up in rural Minnesota, completed my undergrad on the shores of Lake Superior, and moved to Maine for several years. I am currently seeking a graduate degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in association with the Resilience and Adaptation Program, and have with a planned graduation date of December 2015. When not writing thesis or doing research, I spend a majority of my time in the field observing and photographing all types of natural phenomenon from bird breeding to the aurora borealis. I am an avid outdoors-man who hunts, fishes, backpacks, canoes, goes birding, and kayaks; aside from that I am an semi-professional photographer who dabbles in guitar playing and fiddling/violin. Although not self proclaimed, my interest in many aspects has earned me the title of a “renaissance man”.
