Artist John Williams, Today I painted my first painting in Acrylics, This was also my first attempt at painting a Semi-Nude Painting also! The painting is of a lady just returning to the beach after a Dip in the Sea titled "that was cold" My wife who also completed here first Acrylic called the "Blue Vase" said that my painting had a vintage old fashoned look about it. It reminded here of one those old Cigarette Cards depicting a lady on the beach back in the 50s. Please take a look and comment on my work. Regards John

Artist John Williams, Just finished "Glemroda" in Pastel Inspired by Lyonel Feininger This is my first attempt at Painting the German Church in the village of Glemroda. Glemroda was made famous by the German/American Artist Lyonel Feininger who painted this Church many times. Please have a look at my version of Glemroda and please leave comments. Artist John Williams Hi just starting a new painting project. One of my Favorite Artists is Lyonel Feininger , My wife and I were given a print of one of Lyonel Feininger's paintings by my Uncle as a Wedding Present called "Glemeroda" which Lyonel Feininger painted many paintings of this little Church in Germany. I had a look around the internet to fined photos and other paintings by Lyonel Feininger of the church. That would help Inspire me to have a go at Creating my own Painting of the church of Glemeroda. Just finished my latest Painting. "A winters Glow",was inspired by Geoff Kersey's "Afternoon Light" from his book Trees, Woodlands & Forests in water colour. In my painting I have added distant hills beyond the cottage. The cottage also has snow on the roof and smoke coming out of the chimney giving you the impression of getting back to the cottage and warming yourself by the open fire. Artist John Williams, Hi all I have just finished my latest Painting which was Inspired First Footprints by the Artist Terry Harrison from his book Landscapes in water Colour. The Painting is of a winter seen with two pheasants crossing a snowy path. Thought this would be a nice Christmas painting to Paint. Hi all, I have Finished work on a New Water Colour Painting project of two British Navy Ships the HMS Maidstone & the HMS Dreadnought. The HMS Madstone was a British Submarine Support Ship Built in 1937, she provided support for British Submarines in Mediterranean and the Pacific Far East. HMS Dreadnought was the United Kingdom's first nuclear-powered submarine, On 3 March 1971, Dreadnought became the first British submarine to surface at the North Pole. In my Painting "Meeting for Supplies" the Submarine & ship will be together side by side. I have finished work on this painting Prints will be Available online.
