Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, and raised in the Bay Area, I have always been artistic. Even as a child I designed paper doll dresses in coordinating colors and sewed outfits for my Barbies. Despite my abilities, I was unaware that I could use my artistic skills professionally. After marriage, two children and a divorce, I decided to return to college.
