Andrea Goldsmith is best known for her painterly abstractions of the Italian landscape. Her colorful artwork incorporates imagery of architectural elements such as grids, gates, hearts, and passages that symbolize the passing of time, changes in direction, barriers to communication, and lost love. An avid dancer, she also depicts her experiences as both an observer and participant in the dance world.
