Born and brought up in rural North Northumberland, Andy has always been close to nature. Having been raised on or near farms and with many members of his family employed in the agricultural industry, a career in a land based industry was inevitable. With an early interest in growing and exhibiting plants, horticulture was his chosen career path, he studied Glasshouse crops production at Hertfordshire College of Agriculture and Horticulture (Oaklands) in St.Albans, where he met his wife, Sylvia.
