Anitra Handley-Boyt started her art education as a toddler accompanying her mother to her art classes at American University and George Washington University and studio work at the Smithsonian. She was provided a stool and an easel next to her mom or a seat and clay depending on the class. Anitra worked primarily in pen and ink and pencil on paper for many years.
