Born in Bulgaria, Anna was deeply influenced by her life before and after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 1982, she discovered her potential in photography while working at the Bulgarian Cinematography and Movie Special Effects Studio for five years. In 1991, when Communism lost its hold, Anna determined to leave the country with her family in search of better economic opportunities.
