5th Annual Genny Wood Fine Art Show And Sale

Beckville, TX - October 31st, 2012

Betty Northcutt, East Texas photographer, invites the public to view her artwork at the 5th Annual Genny Wood Fine Art Show & Sale this Saturday, Nov. 3rd, from 9am - 5pm. More than 40 artists, Ms. Northcutt included, will be displaying/selling their work at the Bullard First United Methodist Church Family Life Center located at 211 South Rather Street in Bullard, Texas. Sales will benefit the Bullard Mission House which helps to clothe, feed and provide medical assistance to the needy in the community. This event was named in honor of the late Ms. Genny Wood, who was a local art teacher passionate not only about the arts, but of helping those in need in her community. Betty Northcutt At Art Stroll In Gladewater

Betty Northcutt will be displaying/selling her photographic art during Gladewater's annual Main Street Art Stroll. She will be at Vicky V's located at 112 W. Pacific Avenue in historic downtown Gladewater, Texas from Noon until 5 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2012. She would like to invite one and all to stroll through the antique district businesses and enjoy all the wonderful works of art on display. There will be over 35 local artists throughout downtown showcasing their works of painting, sculpture, pottery, photography and drawings.

Betty Northcutt Exhibits Works In Tyler Gallery

Photographic artist, Betty Northcutt, has exhibited works numerous times this year at Gallery Main Street in Tyler, Texas. Her works have been included in several themed juried competitions organized by Gallery Main Street and the Downtown Tyler Arts Coalition. After the themed exhibit "The Fine Art Of The Found Object", which showed from January 4th - February 7th, she was then accepted in their "Simply Black And White" exhibit which was on display from February 9th - March 13th. Her work was on display at Gallery Main Street from April 19th - May 15th in the "From The Inside" exhibit where she was awarded Best In Show for her work "Autumn Fog". Marshall, Henderson, Texas during Henderson's third "An Affair Of The Arts" artwalk on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Sponsor of the event is Main Street Henderson. This event will be in conjunction with Henderson's Spring Fling, which will encompass live music and entertainment, a downtown Farmer's Market and Flower Market, food and kids activities. Betty Northcutt At Downtown Tyler Art Walk

Betty Northcutt will be a participating artist in the Downtown Tyler Art Walk on Thursday, March 15th, 2012. She will be in the Gallery Main Street Foyer at 110 West Erwin in Tyler, Texas from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The City of Tyler, the Downtown Tyler Arts Coalition and Gallery Main Street orchestrate several art walks a year to promote the arts and attract visitors to the historic downtown businesses. Several businesses downtown will serve as hosts to local artisans displaying their works in various mediums. The Downtown Tyler Art Walk is a great way to meet the artists, become part of the blossoming Downtown Tyler art scene, and reach out to the community!

Betty Northcutt's photograph, "1937 Packard - Dressed For Status", will be among the photographic art on display at the Longview Museum of Fine Arts from March 3, 2012 through March 18, 2012 during the 4th Annual Short Exposure Photography Exhibit. The Longview Museum of Fine Arts is providing a venue for photographic artists to exhibit their work in a museum setting. Betty Northcutt will be attending The 4th Annual Genny Wood Memorial Art Show & Sale on November 12, 2011. This fine art show will be held in the Family Life Center at the First United Methodist Church in Bullard, Texas from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. She will be among the 40-45 artists displaying and/or selling their works of all mediums. Proceeds from this show will go to the Hazel and Dean Mason Mission House which clothes, feeds, and provides medical needs to the needy. The show will coincide with Bullard's "Red, White and Blue Festival" which honors our armed forces. That day at the festival there is a parade, car show, live entertainment on stage, carnival rides, food venders, arts and crafts on the street, and a street dance! Something for everyone!

The Longview Museum of Fine Arts is providing a venue for photographic artists to exhibit their work in a museum setting. The first Short Exposure exhibit at LMFA was held in 2008.
