As a chemist, I spend much of my time indoors working in a lab, so I love to take advantage of my free time and spend it outdoors. With camera in-hand, I seek out various flora and fauna that I find interesting, and living in East Tennessee, I know I don't have to travel far to find them. I eventually select my favorite of these pictures and translate them into painting. I'm inspired by nature, and in my work, I like to reflect the natural beauty that drives me to create.
