The subjects I choose to paint are those that remind me of my southern roots. The music, the people, the food, the cultures: all that is New Orleans and the Deep South. My work is what you might call an impressionistic style, funky folk style, often using quick brush strokes and flashes of color and highlights. The main intention of my work is to bring across my deep love for the south while trying to captivate my audience and give them a feeling they could almost walk into the painting and experience all the scene has to offer.
