Caliban Strange is a painter. He has a love for Picasso, and Salvador Dali. He also enjoys performing magic. He does this with the help of his puppet assistants. Through simple slight of hand the puppets offer up a feat of prestidigitation, in a cabaret setting. His paintings are created much the same ways as his puppets. There are woven, cut and sewn onto the canvas. He adds the colours, the finishing touches, and the exactness, that comes with a keen artistic eye.
Caliban has a interest in film and inventing too. Just like his paintings, and puppets, his inventions are crafted to produce his work, in the art world. He acquired his love of art, from his father, who was a art collector. One piece his father owned, he donated it to the art restoration program at Queen's university, after he worked on it.
Currently, Caliban is working on creating a book of his art, and other elaborate film and video projects. This process has been described as the Odd Reality of Caliban Strange.
Caliban Strange joined Fine Art America on January 24th, 2013.
