Che Hondo was born in Washington DC. He attended weekend & summer classes, as a youth, at Corcoran College of Art & Design studying drawing & pottery. He studied in the visual arts at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, in Washington DC and majored in visual design & communication, at Virginia State University.
