My mission is to never be boring with my photos; to be the conduit between God's beautiful artwork and the folks who couldn't be there in person to enjoy it. I love getting the shot that comes out of nowhere, so my saying is, 'be prepared to catch the spontaneous. ' ;) I want you to FEEL the image, not just see it. Hopefully something about it touches you on a deeper sensory level, stirring a memory, a vibe, a feeling that calls to you. If I've done that, I've fulfilled my mission!
Growing up in New England, I got to enjoy so many scenic areas - from the shoreline of Cape Cod to the special beauty Maine offers - the Ogunquit area was especially breathtaking to me. I've concentrated my focus on those areas, as well as local shots right in my own 'backyard' so to speak.
Although I hadn't been immersed in photography since my college days, but I knew if I put myself in the right places, nature would take its course - and I'd be there to capture it all! I hope to bring the flavor of New England to you... sometimes with a bit of whimsy sprinkled in...
None of my photos have been Photoshopped or have been touched up by Light Illustrator. It's just the images, with a couple basic light adjustment settings. That's it. Good or bad, it's a natural look. There's a lot of fancy software to boost up photography. My work is more simple, with the subject matter taking precedence over technology.
