Peter V. Cornelis, an artist before his strokes and brain surgery developed a strong love of art. He drew and painted with his right hand. After a stroke that paralyzed him on both sides of his body for a year, he would lie without movement at all. His sanity was kept by painting and drawing pictures in his mind over and over again.
