I was born in Halkida,Evia island,Greece. In my youth a deep love of the sea was,to a great extent, due to the infuence of my grandfather's stories of his life at sea as sea Captain
and Shipowner. As a relult, I became a Merchant Marine Captain traveling the world. My love for painting was initiated by my artistic mother who sent me from an early age to study under Angelos Kologiannis, a Halkidian
