Dan Terrys Blue Ripples Painting Donated To Harvey Coastal Relief Effort Auction

Austin, TX - September 3rd, 2017

Will Taylor, Austin musician extraordinaire, is putting on Auction for the Coast fundraiser with silent auction and concert at Pioneer Farms Dance Hall, Labor Day (Monday) Sept 4, 6-10 pm in Austin, Tx. Items to be auctioned include 'something' from Willie Nelson, upcoming concert tickets, signed collectibles from Austin based musicians including Texas Tornado's Ernie Durawa and many others, and artwork donated by Austin artists, including muralist Dan Terry. The original acrylic "Blue Ripples" 37"x32"x1" has been donated by the artist to assist in the fundraising effort with all proceeds from the event and auction, which will stream live online for worldwide bidding, to go to benefit the Hurricane Harvey coastal relief effort. Austin Artist Using Exhibition Sales To Support Charities

Award-winning Austin mural artist, Dan Terry is using his art in local exhibitions to help local non-profits raise funding as lower levels of government support and charitable giving leaves many charitable organizations scrambling for funding. Terry says, "Sometimes people who are in a position to give back to the community for their good fortune, just need a little incentive to do what they want to anyway. So I decided when I started to begin exhibiting my fine art work after a twenty year hiatus from painting to teach and work in film and television to use my art as such an incentive to support charities that are doing good things for people that give them hope and help." Austin Artist Selected For Taylor Art Exhibition

Twice annually the Taylor Arts Guild of Taylor in Central Texas mounts a juried exhibition, in the spring and fall. This spring the theme of the exhibition is Eat Me, Drink Me and artists across the state and nation are eligible to submit to the show which runs from April 16th until May 20 at 120 Gallery, 120 W. Second Street in downtown Taylor, TX. Austin artist Dan Terry must have resonated with the jurors on this particular show.
