After raising a family and retiring from a career I decided to restart painting again. I've been painting pretty regularly for the past 15 years exclusively watercolor. I like other mediums, but believe it will take me the rest of my life to learn watercolor, if then. My style can be both loose and realistic. I try to use the largest brush I can, paint with urgency to achieve a mood or feeling in my paintings. It takes about two hours to complete a painting from the drawing to putting a mat around it.
