Darren was born and raised in Virginia ,along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Darren was in his mid 30s when first discovered the joy of photography. He then set out to teach himself the art and continues to work hard at creating the best photographs he can. Since then he has become an award winning photographer. He has work that has been published from being in magazines, to magazine covers, book covers and many other awards. However the greatest thing he still finds the most rewarding is know that people love his work enough to have it in their homes, an office and or waiting rooms.
As a cancer survivor his work has become more heartfelt and emotional. Darren enjoys sharing those aspect of photography with others.
He is really happy that he chose this road to self discovery. He feels he has a better appreciation for his work and the work of others. Landscape photography is Darren's first passion. However he enjoys the many different aspects that photography has to offer. Darren offers fine art pieces along with doing portraits and weddings. All Darren's portrait work is done on location, using the magic of natural light.
