My photographs cover a wide range of subjects. They range from something as simple as a single flower in a vase to the complexities of a nude figure. I consider myself to be a realist. Because of this a lot of my photographs are based on the natural world or the natural beauty inherent in people, places, and things. There are times, though, when my photographs are intended to create an emotional response in the viewer. Dave Chafin Wild About Birds Photograph Exhibit

Lexington, Ky - August 31st, 2011

I'm going to be exhibiting 21 of my bird photographs at the Lexington Arboretum and Kentucky State Botanical Garden in Lexington Kentucky from September 2nd to the 11th. This is in conjuction with the The Friends of The Arboretum's 10th ANNUAL BIRDHOUSE DISPLAY & BENEFIT AUCTION. I'm also donating a framed print to be auctioned during the display with the proceeds going to the Friends of the Arboretum. There will be a Reception on Sunday, September 11, 2 � 4 pm. Lexington, Ky - December 22nd, 2009

Lexington Kentucky photographer David Chafin will have a photograph in the exhibit "NUDE 2010" presented by the Lexington Art League in Lexington Kentucky. This juried exhibit attracts artists worldwide and is the longest running exhibit in the country dedicated to the nude in art. The exhibit runs from January 16th to March 28th.
