I began painting in the late 1970s soon after starting my career as an electrical engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I thoroughly enjoyed mechanical drafting in high school, back in the day when all work was done with pencil on paper. My early art education stems from several continuing education courses in drawing and painting. I began painting in acrylics but watercolor has been my media of choice since the '80s.
