I grew up in a family of artists who taught me that being a creative person, engaged in creative endeavors is the way to spend one's life.
I received my BFA from Purchase College in New York State and earned a Master's degree in teaching art education from Manhattanville College in 1995. I have been creating art for virtually my whole life but I have been showing and selling art work for the last 18 years.
My proudest accomplishment second to my family and the life that we have together, is my recent completion of my art studio. My studio has taken me the last 5 years to build and I am proud to say that from the design to the last fixture, it has been my own. No professionals were hired or utilized in it's creation. It has been a labor of love and I am proud to say it is now open for studio work and studio shows. To view images of my studio click on my link above and find the gallery. The opening show was held this past July 13th and I featured recent work and my work from a grant I received to travel and paint the Southwestern landscape.
The 22 pieces within this portfolio are all Oils and Acrylics. As part of my recent work I also created hundreds of sketches and watercolors, I will be including a select group of these at a later time.
This summer I am painting the North Eastern landscape, and since I am now liberated by my studio space I will create a few conceptual pieces as well.
My goal has always been to find beauty in the world, to convey and comment on all I see.
I hope you enjoy my portfolio of work and please do contact me if you would like information about commissions, originals or additional media.
