While living in Asia for many years during my career in the Marine Corps (retired June of 2001) I had the unique opportunity to study under one of Japans Master Potters and was soon teaching classes on a few of the bases overseas. I continued to teach on base upon my return to the United States to retire and after retirement, opened a studio in Olympia, Washington.
