"That year we took a 20th wedding anniversary trip to Door County, Wisconsin, and my husband, Bill, had me take my painting equipment with me, and since then I have done 225 paintings," Hoff said. Hoff, 57, is originally from Arlington, Va., but her father's job required multiple moves, and to date, Carlinville is the 26th community she has lived in. Her family settled in Macomb, Ill., when she was in the eighth grade, and she graduated from Macomb High School in 1970.
