Dick Wayne grew up in New York City. His father designed movie posters for many of the Broadway movie theaters. Dick inherited the art gene but his parents insisted that he get a real job. He is a graduate of New York University with a degree in marketing. He entered the advertising field as a copywriter writing material for companies like Exxon and Corning Glass.
