Dina Jacobs was born in Sicily, and immigrated to the United States when she was 13. She resided in New York state, continued her education, graduated and became a nurse. Dina always was interested in crafts and art, and began to concentrate in decorative art. Dina studied under many artists, including David Jansen, Liz Miller and others. She is also self-taught in many aspects of art. She opened an Art Studio and Gift Shop in Fuquay -Varina in 2005 where she sold her art work and taught art classes to both adults and children. She eventually had to close her studio and currently has her studio in her home, where she continues to teach. Dina paints, and teaches, Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor and Mixed Media. Dina's painting subjects include landscapes, seascapes, flowers, and more.
Dina and her husband John raised 7 children, and currently have 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. They lived in NY then NJ and moved to Fuquay-Varina, NC in 2003. Dina is an active member of the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council.
