His older sister is married and settled in California.
According to Donnie, parents should not force their children to join a particular stream. His liberal father allowed him to pursue personal dreams. When Donnie announced his decision to become a teacher by profession immediately his parents supported this decision. Donnie Isaacs finds it really amazing to communicate with young students. He is so helpful and cooperative that some students even share their personal problems along with him. At present he is appointed as a history teacher in a reputed school. Donnie never preferred to settle outside his hometown. He has resided in Tallahassee for over three decades and prefers to spend rest of his life in this capital city.
