I promised myself that one of my retirement hobbies would be photography. I have been shooting photographs on and off for most of my life but not as seriously as now since my time is a little freer. Cheryl and I have been thoroughly enjoying traveling and capturing the awsome places that we have visited. We are enjoying living in the hill country of Texas with its facinating geological history so near as well as the wildlife, beautiful landscapes and sunsets.
I worked as an instrument and computer engineer, which I still enjoy playing with by designing ham radio antennas as well as building and testing them. I am also enjoying amateur astronomy which I have always been interested in but could not spend all night looking at stars and then get up for work at 4:00am while I was working. Now that those 4:00am times are past me I can spend my evening searching for deep space objects and learning about the facinating and interesting universe that surrounds us.
